Griffe Field Primary School is made up of staff and pupils who originate from many nationalities, cultures and faith groups. As a school we aim to celebrate this diversity. We believe that Religious Education provides an opportunity to celebrate and foster awareness of these differences within our school and the wider world.
Religious Education at our school is designed to engage, inspire, challenge and encourage children. We explore different religious beliefs, values and traditions, and children are taught to be respectful individuals and show mutual respect. We aim to develop children’s sense of belonging and identity and inspire them to flourish individually within our community.
Religious Education at our school is linked to many different subjects such as art, drama and PSHE, and our children love learning about different religions and cultures through a wide range of visits and visitors. Our children are enthusiastic when performing assemblies linked to religious festivals and are thrilled to perform in front of their parents who are invited to watch.
As a result of our Religious Education curriculum, children at Griffe Field feel valued as individuals and feel that their beliefs are valued and celebrated.
